Hershey, PA Weekend

We had such a fabulous time this past weekend in Hershey, PA, exploring and enjoying!
We arrived late Friday night after a harrowing drive through rain and some nasty fog!  Saturday morning, everyone slept in, and we spent the day at Chocolate World and Hershey Gardens.  Luckily, Chocolate World was inside because oh boy was it cold!!!  We had to go on the chocolate tour twice because the kids liked it so much, and they got an opportunity to "make" their own box of Hershey Kisses.  We met up with the Naftals, neighbors from down the street and headed down to Hershey Gardens with them.  The tulips were gorgeous and the kids were able to run around, but the wind made it just plain cold!
Saturday was the day to head to Hershey Park, an amusement park, where they were having a military day. Tomas and Gabi were both "under 3" for the purposes of admission (saved us $25). Both Gabriella and Tomas were able to go on rides at the park, and the weather was insanely better than yesterday. Coats were still a must, but the sun was shining on us and inviting us to have some fun. Both kids loved the rides...I had to sit on the sideline most of the day (pregnant ladies can't even ride the kiddie rides). Tomas even got the chance to ride his very first roller coaster. He was all smiles before (as you can see in the picture), but told me it was scary afterward. My friend Heather said that he wanted to go again after the ride was over, though, so I think there is no reason to think he will shy away from thrill rides in the future. My favorite part of all the rides was that Tomas said his tummy felt funny on the frog ride. Too cute!
